Employment advices

You must never forget that the resume as well as the presentation letter will be your two only ways of representation for the moment, and these are also the ways that you will be judged by. Only in case if the judgement you get is favourable, you will be appointed for an interview, and then you will have to demonstrate personally the expectations that you have created.

The presentation letter is the introduction to the Résumé. It gives the person responsible for the selection the first notion of us. Bear in mind that it can make a favourable impression, or create a negative predisposition towards our candidacy, for example, as a result of presenting a photocopied letter, or a letter where punctual information can be modified to adapt it to every specific work application.

Do not forget that the letter is always read, although it could be done mechanically, that is the reason you must try to omit any orthographic, typewriting errors, etc.

Before the interview

  • Get to know everything you can about the company
  • Study your capacities, experience and education
  • Take your résumé with you. You have to know it perfectly because the interview will be based on it.
  • Make yourself a relation of your weak points and prepare arguments to defend them
  • If you are given an appointment in a written form, it is correct to call and confirm your assistance.
  • Do not show up wearing dark glasses
  • Verify your appearance (avoid showy clothes; be well dressed, clean and shaved)
  • Go alone
  • Come early (5 minutes early)
  • Prepare your interview, the person responsible for the selection will do it as well
